Privacy Policy
Velour, operated by Syntone AI · Last updated 25 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Velour ("we", "us", the "App")
collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Velour you agree to
this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and display name.
- Profile details you provide — date of birth, gender,
height and weight, optional body measurements (bust, waist, hips), country,
and style preferences. These personalize your outfit recommendations and
fit.
- Approximate location — if you grant permission, we use
your device's approximate (city-level) location to show local weather and
weather-based outfit suggestions. We request low-accuracy location only and
do not store your coordinates.
- Photos you upload — the try-on photo you choose is used
to render virtual try-on images. When you upload it, it is automatically
checked for prohibited content (Microsoft Azure AI Content Safety). Apart
from that check, it is sent to our AI image providers (primarily Microsoft
Azure OpenAI Service; see section 3 for the backup providers) only to
generate your try-on images. You control whether to upload one, and you
can remove it at any time.
- Usage activity — outfits you save, items you view or
click, and try-on requests, so we can improve recommendations. Anonymous
visitors are identified only by a random on-device identifier.
- Purchases — when you buy try-on credits, the store
transaction ID, the product, the date, and the number of credits granted.
Payment itself is handled by Google Play or the App Store; we never
receive your card details.
- Reports you submit — if you report an AI-generated
image, the reason, any note you add, and which image it was.
- Diagnostics — crash reports, performance data, and
basic device information (model, OS version), collected via Sentry to keep
the App reliable. An error report can include a random account or device
identifier so we can trace the problem; it does not include your name,
email address, photos, or location.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the core features: browsing outfits, saving looks, virtual
try-on, and shopping links.
- To personalize your feed and recommendations.
- To operate, secure, and improve the App and diagnose problems.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Service providers
We share data only with the vendors needed to run the App, under their own
terms:
- Supabase — authentication and database.
- Microsoft Azure — image storage, backend hosting, and
screening uploaded try-on photos for prohibited content (Azure AI Content
Safety).
- Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service — our primary virtual
try-on image generation. Your try-on photo and the selected outfit image
are sent to generate the result.
- Google (Gemini) / OpenAI — backup virtual try-on image
generation, used only when the primary provider cannot complete a
request. They receive the same two images, only to generate the
result.
- SerpAPI / Serper — to find real, shoppable products
that match an item. These receive only the item description or image, not
your identity.
- WeatherAPI.com — local weather. Your approximate
location coordinates are sent to retrieve current conditions; your identity
is not shared.
- Sentry — crash and error reporting.
- Google Play Billing / Apple App Store — payment for
try-on credit packs, under their own privacy policies. We receive only a
transaction record, never your payment details.
- RevenueCat — purchase processing and validation for
in-app purchases made through Google Play. It receives your account ID and
the purchase record.
- Affiliate networks (Sovrn Commerce, eBay Partner Network,
impact.com) — when you tap a shopping link, it opens in your
browser through our server, which may route it through one of these
networks so the retailer can credit Velour for a purchase. We may earn a
commission; it does not change the price you pay. They receive the product
link you tapped and an item reference, plus what any website receives from
your browser (such as your IP address and browser type) — never your name,
email address, or Velour account ID.
Cookies on shopping links. When you open a shopping link,
the affiliate network and the retailer may set cookies in your browser so a
purchase can be credited to Velour, under their own privacy policies. You can
block or delete these cookies in your browser settings; shopping still works,
but the purchase may not be credited to us.
4. Children
Velour is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect
personal information from them. The registration flow prevents selecting a date
of birth under 13 years of age.
5. Data retention and your choices
- You can update your profile details in the App at any time.
- You can update or remove your try-on photo from the Me tab.
- You can permanently delete your account from the Me tab ("Delete
Account"). Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. It removes your
account, profile, photos, try-on results, saved items, preferences and
signed-in activity, and the record of your Google Play purchases held by
RevenueCat.
- You can also request deletion without the app: see
share.syntoneai.com/account/delete
for how to email us a request (processed within 30 days).
- After deletion we keep only what financial compliance and abuse
prevention require. None of it contains your name, email address, photos
or profile; some of it carries your former account ID, a random
identifier we assigned to your account. We keep: purchase records
(transaction ID, credits granted and date) with a hash of your account ID;
your account ID with a one-way hash of your email address, so the sign-up
bonus cannot be claimed twice; if you redeemed an invite, the invite code,
that email hash and the random device identifier the app created, so
invite rewards cannot be claimed twice; activity from before you signed
in, which is recorded against that device identifier; and only the reason
and date of any report you filed about an AI-generated image. Usage
counters and server logs that contain your account ID are deleted
automatically, the counters within 30 days.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at
rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your
information.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be
reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
